Fluralaner is a novel systemic insecticide and acaricide belonging to the isoxazoline class of drugs. It is primarily administered orally and is widely used in veterinary medicine to treat and prevent flea, tick, and mite infestations in dogs (and in some cases, cats). Its most well-known commercial product is Bravecto.

Flea and Tick Control: It is used to treat and prevent flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations and to treat and control infections caused by various tick species (including black-legged ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, and lone star ticks) in dogs.
Mite Infestation Treatment: It is indicated for the treatment of canine sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis).
Environmental Population Control: By killing adult fleas and inhibiting their reproduction, it helps eliminate flea populations in the household environment.
