Enrofloxacin is an off-white crystalline powder, very slightly soluble in water alcohol, soluble in acetic acid, hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide solution, is a synthetic third-generation quinolone antibacterial drug. It has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and strong permeability, has a strong killing effect on gram-negative bacteria, also has a good antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma, good oral absorption, high and stable blood concentration, its metabolite is ciprofloxacin, and there is still a strong antibacterial effect. The sterilization method is direct and unique, directly acting on the nucleus of bacteria, inhibiting bacterial DNA gyruse, resulting in rapid death of bacteria, and it is not easy to develop drug resistance.
Enrofloxacin is mainly used for the treatment of respiratory, digestive, genitourinary infections, skin infections and sepsis caused by E. coli, salmonella, haemophilus, erysipelas, staphylococcus, streptococcus, etc.
