Daunorubicin hydrochloride is mainly used to treat acute myelogenous leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute monocyte leukemia and other diseases.
Daunorubicin hydrochloride inserts between adjacent base pairs of DNA by embedding the target cell, producing active free radicals, so that the DNA double-stranded spiral unwinds, DNA strand breaking, inhibiting the template activity of nucleic acids, interfering with the transcription process, preventing mRNA synthesis, and reaching tissue cells for replication, daunorubicin hydrochloride may also cause cell membrane rupture, which in turn leads to cell death, thereby exerting efficacy.
