The bactericidal mechanism of cefprozil hydrate is to hinder bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefprozil hydrate has a significant effect on Staphylococcus aureus (including β-lactamase strains), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes in gram-positive aerobic bacteria, and has an inhibitory effect on Enterococcus stoic, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Staphylococcus Warnei, Streptococcus agalactis, Streptococcus c, D, F, G and Streptococcus viridae.
