Biapenem belongs to the second generation of carbapenem antibacterial drugs, which have the characteristics of broad antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial activity, and have better antibacterial activity against Enterobacteriaceae, common non-fermented bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, etc. Biapenem mainly achieves bacteriostatic purposes by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, and it can tolerate the hydrolysis of a variety of β lactamases.
Biapenem is widely used for acute and chronic infections caused by gram-negative aerobic bacteria, gram-positive aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria.
