Tetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, with bactericidal effect at high concentrations, in addition to common gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, most rickettsial species, mycoplasma, chlamydia species, atypical mycobacteria, spirochetes, actinomycetes, anthrax, Listeria monocytogenes, clostridial bacillus, Nocardia species are sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride. Tetracycline hydrochloride is better than gram-negative bacteria in gram-positive bacteria, but it is resistant to enterococci and penicillin-resistant gonococci. Tetracycline hydrochloride has good antibacterial effect on gram-negative bacteria such as Vibrio, Brucella, Campylobacter, Yersinia, etc., and has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
