Fludarabine phosphate is used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Fludarabine phosphate, is an anti-metabolic purine fluoride nucleoside analogue, it is highly selective for lymphocytes, it can inhibit the repair of cell DNA in the quiescent phase and the synthesis of cell DNA in the division phase, and has the effect of promoting the apoptosis of these cells, has shown good efficacy, is now widely used in the treatment of various blood system diseases, especially chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Fludarabine phosphate increases disease remission rates by promoting apoptosis of tumor cells. Its pro-apoptosis mode is mainly achieved by regulating the following pathways: death receptor pathway, mitochondrial pathway, P53, ceramide, Bcl-2 family and some apoptosis promoters and apoptosis inhibitors.
