Zinc chloride is used as an organic synthetic dehydrating agent, condensation agent, polyacrylonitrile solvent, printing and dyeing mordant, mercerizing agent, sizing agent, etc.
Zinc chloride is mainly used in: 1. Used as a dehydrating agent, condensation agent in the organic synthesis industry and catalyst for the production of vanillin, cyclamen aldehyde, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, cation exchange resin. 2. Water treatment corrosion inhibitor. 3. High concentration of corrosive drugs, low concentrations of astringent drugs, and can be disinfected and deodorized. 4. It is used as an analytical reagent and a catalyst for the synthesis of anion exchange resin. 5. Used in batteries, tempered paper, wood preservatives, soldering flux (zinc chloride solution can dissolve metal oxides at high temperature), textile industry mordant, sizing agent and weight gainer, petroleum purification agent and activated carbon activator, electroplating pretreatment agent, pharmaceutical astringent, pesticide and catalyst, etc., and is also used as an astringent additive in cosmetics.
